We offer a complete range of pet cremation services, including individual horse cremation in Wales, pony and donkey funerals. From individual horse cremation to economic horse disposal, every animal is treated individually and with the utmost respect. The death or illness of a horse or pony is always an upsetting and traumatic experience, and our pet crematorium aims to support you with both care and professionalism. We provide individual pet cremation to ensure your beloved companion is honoured in a dignified way, and we also offer same-day cremation for all our small pet friends. To ease the burden during this emotional time, we provide an out-of-hours helpline and an emergency call-out service, including weekends and bank holidays. If you prefer, we can liaise directly with your veterinary surgeon to arrange all the necessary details, and we can also be present when your vet arrives to put your horse to rest, offering complete support during this difficult moment.

Pet Cremation Service in Wales

We have respect for all animals, but have a true love of horses. Jane, my wife, and I started this Horse Cremation service in Wales because we wanted a dignified way of saying goodbye to our horses after their long and wonderful years of service. The first horse we cremated was “Melin” (Welsh for yellow), our own horse, which had been born here on the farm. He was thirty years old. Our journey into offering individual horse cremation in Wales began with Melin, and since then, we have helped many owners say their goodbyes through our caring pet cremation service in Wales. We also operate as a trusted Pet Crematorium, ensuring every animal is treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

The Collard family business was begun in 1906 by William Collard, who was also a Hotelier and breeder of horses. This was followed by my late father, Elwyn, who, in 1966, started guided riding treks over the Elan Valley, often taking 30 horses with him. He bred the horses himself. Today, the trekking centre is run by my daughter Alice. I am the third generation, and we still breed our horses and the Hotel is still run by the family.
